You might have heard of many programming langauages.
But do you know which was the first programming language?
The first programming language for computer was Plankalkül and was developed by Konard Zuse between 1943 and 1945.
However, it was not implemented until 1998!
After that many others were created but were also not able to reach public.
The first language was FORTRAN (FORmula TRANslation) which was made public.
It was developed in 1956 by a team led by John Backus at IBM.
It suits best for numerical computations and scientific computing.
