3. Commercial Crew 2023 Artwork Contest
NASA’s Commercial Crew Program is holding its annual competition inviting kids ages 4-12 to submit artwork to be featured in their 2023 Commercial Crew Program Children’s Artwork Calendar. First, second, and third place artwork will be picked from the age groups 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 per each of the four themes. 4. Science Without Borders Art Challenge
Students from around the world participate in the Science Without Borders Challenge each year to promote ocean conservation through art. The theme for 2022 was “Ridge to Reef,” focusing on actions people can take to protect fragile coral reef ecosystems. Painting or drawing entries are judged based on the theme, artistic merit, creativity, and visual impact.

5. New York Art Competitions
New York Art Competitions is a New York Fine Arts Group division. They host four annual juried art contests open to artists from around the globe. Their goal with these competitions is to promote artists’ careers and their work to a bigger audience.

The most well-known contest is the Chelsea International Fine Art Competition, which offers more than $70,000 in prizes. Distinguished judges come from various fields in the art world to ensure selections are fair and balanced. Accepted works include sculpture, painting, photography, mixed media, drawing, and print.
Similarly, the Chelsea International Photography Competition offers over $55,000 in prizes and is open to photographers at any stage of their career. They also host the Latin American Fine Art Competition and the Artists Relief Art Competition.

6. Jackson’s Painting Prize
The competition is organized annually by Jackson’s Art Supplies located in London. Artists may submit 2-dimensional fine artworks in any painting or drawing media. There are no theme restrictions. You can submit up to a total of 5 artworks.

9. Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art Contest
The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) is excited to announce it is accepting entries for the 2023 Texas division of Wildlife Forever’s Fish Art Contest through Feb. 28. The Fish Art Contest is part of an international conservation education program designed to foster youth interest in fisheries and fishing.

“The Fish Art Contest does a tremendous job of exposing students across Texas to the wonders of fish and fisheries resources through the nexus of art,” said TFFC Director Tom Lang. “We always look forward to this time of year when we are once again amazed by the outstanding work and artistic interpretations of these young Texans.”
Participants must submit a completed entry form and an original illustration of a wild fish found in Texas. Participants in grades 4-12 are also required to submit a one-page creative writing piece.
Once the entry form is submitted, applicants must mail their artwork to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, 5550 FM 2495, Athens, TX, 75752. Dimensions for the physical artwork must be between 8X10” and 9X12” and postmarked by Feb. 28, 2023.
This program is part of Wildlife Forever’s national contest and Texas winners will be automatically entered into the national contest. Texas students may choose to enter national specialty awards with fish not found in Texas, however, they will not be eligible for Texas state awards due to the one-entry per-student limit.

10. ART Street Ranking Contest

11. International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest
Green Crescent is one of the oldest Art Competitions For Kids. It was established a century ago, in 1920, in İstanbul to struggle against addiction. Under the leadership of Prof. Mazhar Osman Uzman, the ream foresaw the threat of addiction 100 years ago and launched efforts to create a healthy society and to promote healthy lifestyles, free of addiction.

Green Crescent’s initial efforts were directed toward alcohol, but in time, tobacco, substances, gambling, and, more recently, technology addictions were added to the scope of our works. In 2014, the team added rehabilitation services to our portfolio, complementing our protective and preventive works.
The 6th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest will be held with the theme “Breaking Free of Addiction”. Declaring that the contest will accept submissions in the category “Under 16” for the first time this year.

Global Canvas children’s art competition is an annual international art Competition for kids run by David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF), to encourage creativity from young people, and to display thought and concern for our planet’s environment and the incredible wildlife that inhabits it.
Set up in 2004 by DSWF’s founder, wildlife artist, and conservationist David Shepherd, each year, the competition receives thoughtful and creative entries from all over the world, with an amazing array of interpretations of the year’s theme.

13. Eco-Art Competition
Young artists, ages 5-22, create a 2-D, two-dimensional, or 3-D, three-dimensional artwork that illustrates the 2023 theme message: Protectors for the Planet. Participants may use any medium or combination of media if the work meets the size requirements designated in the Official Rules.

The artwork must address this year’s theme: Protectors for the Planet. The subject matter can center around different aspects of the theme. Artists could illustrate how they would directly impact their community or provide a solution to a global environmental concern.
The artist may interpret the theme Protectors for the Planet to include individuals taking action toward a more sustainable planet. Artists may use visual elements to express their views on biodiversity, ocean health, pollution, climate change, waste disposal, conservation, wildlife habitat security, or green innovation, to name a few. Artists may interrupt the theme more figuratively to suggest how one can take action to protect our planet or highlight the accomplishments of environmental leaders, animals, and organisms working to sustain ecosystems.

14. XXXII International Festival of Fine Arts COLOR ART
The Color Art International Festival of Fine Arts in Goleniów is an annual event lasting continuously since 1990. It is a continuation of the International Festival of Children’s Art, under the patronage of the Polish UNESCO Committee. Its goal is the widest possible promotion of all forms of artistic creativity practiced by young artists, and creating opportunities for artistic expression on a given topic.

Organizers accept applications from individuals, educational institutions, cultural institutions, and schools.
The winners of the competition, together with their supervisors, will be invited to participate in a several-day seaside art workshop, as part of the grand finale of the Color Art Festival by March 31, 2023. They will also receive catalogs and diplomas.

15. Science without Borders Challenge
The Science Without Borders Challenge is an international contest that engages students and teachers in ocean conservation through art. This annual competition inspires students to be creative while promoting public awareness of the need to preserve, protect, and restore the world’s oceans and aquatic resources, contributing to the overarching goals of the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation. The Challenge is open to primary and secondary school students 11-19 years old, with scholarships of up to $500 awarded to the winning entries.

Age group: 11 – 19 years
Theme: The Sixth Extinction
Prizes: Winners of the Science Without Borders® Challenge will be awarded the following scholarships:
- 1st Place: $500
